Managing Director at ARTA Ventures
I specialize in
“$100K–$250K first checks into applied AI, robotics, space and dual-use”
Background & Highlights
I co-founded ARTA Ventures, a seed and pre-seed fund backing U.S. applied-AI companies across software, hardware, robotics, space, enterprise automation and dual-use, where we write first checks in the $100K–$250K range into teams whose technology is already touching real workflows. I also co-founded Station Alpha, where much of my week goes into connecting founders with the investors, operators, customers and public-sector stakeholders they actually need in the room. Before this I was Founding General Partner at Infinitree Venture Capital and Chief Growth Officer at NS Edge, and I spent time as an Entrepreneur in Residence with the National Security Innovation Network, which is where it became obvious to me how many strong deep-tech teams get skipped by traditional capital. The investing came after two decades of operating. I consulted at IBM on business transformation for industrial and manufacturing clients, worked with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, built a real estate investment company from a weekend side project into a real portfolio, co-founded a consumer tech startup, and served as chief strategist for a U.S. technology company while living in Romania and Turkey. I hold an MBA from Notre Dame and started my career in finance with the Peace Corps in Bucharest. What I most enjoy talking through is the hard middle stretch, when a promising technology has to become a durable company and a founder is trying to align product, customers, capital, milestones and market timing all at once. If you're raising a pre-seed or seed round, working out how to sell into enterprise or government buyers, or thinking about launching a fund of your own, that's where I'm most useful.
