I work at the intersection of applied AI, responsible innovation, and capital. My focus is helping founders and leaders build technology that works in the real world, especially in domains where the stakes are high and the consequences are real. I care a lot about who benefits from innovation and whether the systems we build are actually useful, trustworthy, and durable. My background spans engineering, AI, data science, venture building, and fund design. I started in technical work, including medical imaging research at Harvard and ML systems in production, then built and led across startups, product, and investing. Over time, that turned into a career built around translation: helping people move from interesting technology to practical decisions, strong products, and businesses that can actually go somewhere. I bring the perspective of a founder, operator, and investor. I’m the founder of Fictive Ventures, an applied AI fund, and I’ve also worked on fund development and innovation through Village Capital and other ecosystem-building efforts. That means I can help with the technical side of AI, but also with the founder questions around product-market fit, fundraising, strategy, and how to make the story match what is real. A lot of my work is with non-technical founders and mission-driven teams who want to use AI well without getting lost in hype. Some conversations are about what to build. Some are about what not to build. Some are about whether an AI approach is actually the right one, how to evaluate it, and how to think clearly about risk, trust, and deployment before spending a year going in the wrong direction.
