About me

I’ve spent more than 30 years working at the intersection of business leadership, community development, and nonprofit growth. Earlier in my career, I held management roles at AT&T (Pac Bell) across marketing, strategic planning, media, public affairs, and corporate initiatives. I later founded JB Marketing Communications, where I advised more than 80 nonprofit and corporate organizations on foundation formation, board development, strategic planning, market research, management coaching, and fundraising. From 1999 to 2013, I served as CEO and Executive Director of the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley. During that time, we grew the organization’s annual budget from $1M to $7M, expanded staff from 22 to more than 70 people, and increased services to over 10,000 clients each year. Today, I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with leaders who want to build organizations that are both operationally strong and deeply aligned with their mission. If you’re leading a nonprofit, building a foundation, or navigating organizational growth and governance, I’d be glad to connect on Hubble. Who I’m Best Suited to Help: Nonprofit leaders, foundation builders, and mission-driven founders who want to strengthen their organization’s strategy, governance, and long-term impact.
