Mo Aldalou

I'm Programme Director at Baltic Ventures, a Liverpool-based accelerator and angel syndicate, where I help run our annual cohorts of early-stage tech founders and invest alongside our angel network. Before that I spent four years at Tech Nation. I started as its North West engagement manager, went on to co-manage a UK-wide team supporting startups and scaleups, and finished as Mid-Stage Scaling Lead, running Upscale, its flagship programme for Series A companies. Along the way I helped set up the Exchange support programme for early-stage tech firms in Manchester, sat on the Liverpool City Region LEP's Digital & Creative Board, and spent two and a half years helping Tech Climbers spotlight the fastest-growing scaleups across the North. Because I've worked with companies from pre-seed right through to Series A, I've seen what separates the founders who raise and scale from those who stall, and what investors and programme selectors actually look for. I also spent seven years as a business and tech journalist and news editor in the UK and Dubai, so I'm particularly useful if you want to sharpen your story, your pitch, or how you present your traction.
