About me

I've spent 20+ years building businesses and backing the people who build them — first inside consulting and corporate venture, then on the investor side. I was one of the early team members at BCG Digital Ventures, where I helped stand up the venture-architecture practice and eventually made partner, launching new businesses for large companies at startup speed. I later co-founded Emmeline Ventures, a seed-stage fund investing across women's health, financial services, and sustainability, which built a portfolio of roughly two dozen companies including Alloy, LunaJoy, WealthMore, and The Beans. Along the way I picked up an MBA from NYU Stern and a BA in Business Economics from UCLA, but most of what I know about raising money, sizing a market, and surviving a bad quarter came from doing it. Today I invest through my VC and angel portfolios in healthtech and fintech, and I advise across the ecosystem — as Director of the Innovator's Circle at Women's Health Access Matters, where I help coordinate fund managers investing in women's health, and as a venture partner or advisor to The Sparrow Fund, Zero Limits Capital, and TOWER. I host The Capital Flex, a podcast about what actually happens when female founders raise inside systems that weren't built for them, and I write Constructing Capital on where venture's underlying assumptions are breaking down. If you're preparing to raise, figuring out whether your company is a venture business at all, thinking through your cap table and ownership before a round, or building an angel portfolio or first fund, that's the conversation I'm best at — direct, specific, and without the pitch-deck theater.
