About me

Hi, I’m Uday Jarajapu. I partner with early‑stage founders as a CTO‑level strategic advisor, helping them use technology to unlock product‑market fit, scale, and funding milestones. Instead of joining as a full‑time engineer, I work with teams to define the right technical strategy, de‑risk key decisions, and set up the architecture and people needed to execute. I currently serve as a Founding Engineer at Jarmin AI, an AI-native platform that learns its responsibilities, understands your data, embeds into your systems, and becomes part of your team. Among others, I also advise Stanford’s Immigration Policy Lab (GeoMatch), an ML‑driven platform with emerging AI features. In the past, I’ve served as Technical Co‑Founder, Founding Engineer, and Head of Engineering, owning end‑to‑end technical direction for AI‑native and mobile products from concept through launch and scale. At those startups, I led technology roadmap, hiring and org design, vendor and build‑vs‑buy decisions, and the transition from “MVP” to “platform that can grow". My background spans Apple Maps, AWS Aurora, OPOWER, Trulia, and Stanford University, where I’ve blended deep engineering experience with product and business outcomes. Across Big Tech, Real Estate, CleanTech, Music, and EdTech, I’ve helped teams choose the right stack, avoid scaling bottlenecks, and translate business goals into realistic, sequenced technical plans. Today, my work sits at the intersection of technology strategy, product, and early‑stage team building: clarifying what to build first, how to build it, and how to scale it without introducing hidden risk. I enjoy being the thought partner founders call when they need to make a high‑impact technical decision, pressure‑test a roadmap, or communicate complex tradeoffs clearly to investors and non‑technical stakeholders. How I help founders and technical leaders If you’re an early‑stage founder or technical leader, I can help you: - Define a pragmatic technology strategy aligned with your business and fundraising goals - Make key architecture and build‑vs‑buy decisions that won’t trap you later - Mentor emerging technical leaders and create lightweight engineering processes that actually stick - Translate complex technical tradeoffs into clear narratives for investors, boards, and non‑technical partners - Design performance‑first systems and workflows before scale becomes a problem - Review and stress‑test your technical roadmap, hiring plan, and vendor choices
